TATANKA WINDS
Our goal is to restore a portion of the high plains to her former glory, however large or small that portion may be which we are entrusted with the stewardship thereof. We will strive to protect any remaining virgin sod from tillage, and to replant any disturbed acreage to the nutrient rich native grasses and forbs, producing a protective sod covering for the prevention of soil erosion, both wind and rain.
The goal of Tatanka Winds will be to restore the American Plains Buffalo in full grandeur to the land, as they are meant for each other. The plains are not complete without the buffalo, and the buffalo is not complete without the wide open spaces.
The goal of Hehaka Winds will be to restore Elk to the land.
He Tanka Winds is the restoration of Big Horn Sheep to areas of the plains where the Audubon Sheep once thrived.
As these goals are too great for any one person to accomplish alone, and as a government entity is too far removed to understand the complexities of such an operation, we must form as a group of private individuals who will each contribute a small portion and work together to see the plains healed and the native wildlife returned, and scattered to the four winds.
